Past perfect tense in hindi

S + had + v3. 

मैं पढ़ चुका था|I had read.

तुम खा चुके थे |You had eaten.

वे लोग जा चुके थे |They had gone.

राम सो चुका था |Ram had slept.

डॉ के आने के पहले रोगी मर चुका था |The patient had died before the doctor came.

पुलिस के आने के पहले चोर भाग चुका था | The thief had fled away before the police came.

घंटी बजने के पहले मैं स्कूल पहुँच चुका था | I had reached school before the bell rang.

गाड़ी खुलने के बाद मैं स्टेशन पहुँचा | I reached the station after the train had started.

जब वे गए तो सूर्य अस्त हो चुका था |When they left the sun had set.

जब हमलोग वहाँ पहुँचे तो दावत शुरू हो चुकी थी | When we reached there, the dinner had started. 

                          Past perfect Tense

अगर भूतकाल (बीते हुए समय) में दो काम हुए  हों और एक काम दूसरे काम के पहले पूरी तरह से समाप्त हो गया हो, तो पहले समाप्त होनेवाले काम के लिए Past Perfect Tense और बाद में समाप्त होनेवाले काम के लिए Past Indefinite Tense की क्रिया का प्रयोग होगा |जैसे -

1. डॉक्टर के आने के पहले रोगी मर चुका था - इस वाक्य से यह स्पष्ट है कि भूतकाल में दो काम हुए -रोगी का मरना तथा डॉक्टर का आना |'रोगी का मरना' पहले संपन्न हुआ|इसलिए इसके लिए Past Perfect Tense की क्रिया का प्रयोग होगा |'डॉक्टर का आना' बाद में संपन्न हुआ|इसलिए इसके लिए Past Indefinite Tense की क्रिया का प्रयोग होगा |इस प्रकार वाक्य का अनुवाद होगा -
The patient had died before the doctor came.

Special Note; अब यहाँ अनुवाद के लिए जो भी वाक्य दिए जाएँगे उनका मकसद Verb form तथा Structure सिखाना होगा |

पहचान - हिन्दी वाक्यों में इस Tense की क्रिया के अंत में चुका था /चुकी थी /चुके थे रहता है |
